Macaione & Papa

Important Message from our Office:

We at Macaione and Papa Dermatology Associates would like to announce our office has re-opened and we are now seeing patients again.  We will continue to offer telemedicine services as well. If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment, please call our office at 856-627-1900.

During this pandemic, we consider it our highest priority to protect our patients and staff. We are constantly reviewing the most up-to-date guidance, including information from the CDC, WHO, and American Academy of Dermatology. We wanted to share with you some of the safety measures that we are taking in our office, which are above and beyond what is recommended by the organizations previously mentioned.

These measures include, but are not limited to:

• Expanded use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all personnel and patients. When patients come in, they will notice all of our staff wearing surgical masks. Those staff working in close proximity with patients will be wearing additional PPE, including gloves and disposable gowns if appropriate. We are also requiring, per CDC guidelines, that all patients entering the office wear their own facemask or cloth face covering.

• Increased patient screening measures. We are asking all patients who are sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, nausea or vomiting, or believe they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, to reschedule their appointment.

• Limiting unnecessary contact and interaction. We are asking patients not to bring additional family members or guests to their visit unless it is absolutely necessary. We are further asking patients to practice safe social distancing by staying at least 6 feet from others when possible. Patients may choose to wait in their cars rather than the waiting room if desired.

• Maintaining our already high level of cleanliness. Exam rooms are thoroughly disinfected with CDC-approved cleaning products between each visit. All “high touch” surfaces including waiting areas, restrooms, and staff workspaces are sterilized numerous times throughout the day. Each room is cleaned and sanitized at the end of each day by a professional cleaning service as well.

We hope that these measures offer you some degree of reassurance. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure the safety of our patients and staff and we look forward to continuing to provide you and your family the highest quality of dermatologic care.
